Found this ringing a cornfield about 30 miles west of Charleston SC..about 8 in deep..rang up 81..anybody have any ideas?
It’s a beauty, here’s one I found recently

CreakyDigger..you might be on to something with the iron cross..found out there was a pow camp about 3 miles down the road and I did find a 1943 silver dime in the same area

Very interesting ring... and i have to agree with Tony's thought of Templar Cross.

TH stated "St George's" but it is not.

I am curious... so let me ask... Are there any markings inside the ring ?
