Could be off an old tool, I see a # 23 in center of object, could be my imagination, cast iron piece dug up east Texas old farm or timber site

Not sure, I can t read letters , I read a 23 looking at it verticallySome kind of key? It looks like the initials NIR are cast on it.
Not sure , it 3 inches only , then it tappers down to the rounded tip, post above yours says may be a chisel end piece, but again the handle would only be 3 “ , seems short for that. It looks like the end of a crescent wrench handle, but to short for that as well. Thank for input everyone.The end of a handle for a large spoon or ladle?
