It is very similar to Albert gi51fv - but not exact. That makes it around 1812. Maybe a little after. By 1830 most uniform buttons were 2-piece.

DC, I looked at that button but it is one piece. The OP stated his is two piece. To me that means it would date post 1830s but there are no two piece buttons in Albert's that match it.
