Can clearly see some lettering, possibly reversed as if it might have been a stamp. Also can see eagle wings and some sort of emblem/crest in the middle. Pic of the other side is useless, crusted up looks like it melded in with rock over the years to the point they are inseparable.

Found in the summer in an old section of Detroit, forgot about it until I did some browsing through my misc box today, pretty interesting and so heavy I could barely pick it up one handed. [figures, the pic is sideways, forgot to turn the phone]

I would try to clean it up a bit (water), and then I'd try
making a rubbing of the lettering.

It's interesting, for sure..

Have tried cleaning, including months long soaking in olive oil, it is fairly well crusted beyond redemption as far as revealing details without risking damaging it further, may try one more light toothbrushing
[I think the first word is "SHOW" in reverse], I'll post a right side up shot tomorrow if I remember

I don't see reverse, but for some reason I see "WAKe n U" , and then could it be a P?.

The center almost looks like the round center of old subway tokens, or tokens used in place of quarters at amusement parks / video game arcades.
Looks a little large for either of those, however.

Upon enlarging and enhancing the image, it looks like the front of an antique car, with the center design being the cars radiator.

yup .. I did the same thing and agree.

I wonder if this is actually from a printing block. Lots of them exist with logos for companies (not just car related) used mostly in vintage Newspaper advertising... individual brands of auto, regional dealerships, repair shops and such. This one (which says "Proctor the Auto Doctor") is made as a fully cast square letter-set block, but earlier printing plates were often just a cast metal plate mounted on a wooden block.

DADA = Detroit Auto Dealers Association, makes sense.

Would never have guessed auto shows went back that far [Ironically, I have been involved in setting up the Detroit auto show, now known as NAIAS, for well over a decade]
Obviously, didn't have it last year because of the chinese virus, this year its status is heavily downsized if at all.

Thanks for the info and id everyone, I now know that I found a century+ old relic of Motor City history.

Light toothbrushing did reveal a bit more detail, and just so you know I wasn't exaggerating when I said that back was toast, take a look yourself, looks like a cement glob more than anything [hopefully pics orientated correctly]
