Hello everyone. It looks as though I’ve got almost everything out of the lot I’ve been working. I was able to find a few things along with a head scratcher.
The head scratcher is what appears to be a Soviet piece. I have no clues what it is or what the inscription says. Any help would be appreciated.
I also dug a period flat button and a couple cast brass square nails. I believe they are period to the 1820s. Also the extra small 4 hole flat flower button.
Thanks for looking and happy hunting to all.

So it's not backwards in the pictures then? Just Hebrew looks backwards to me I guess. blaming the tequila on that...

Hard to see here, I'm holding a Russian coin. In the center is a small hammer held up high.

It is in a way backward. Hebrew is written right to left.

The Hebrew Bible was written from right to left. The alphabet has gone through many changes since ancient times.

The pics of very old Russian coin above, not close enough, needed turned to reflect the light. Closer, better and more old Russian coin photos.

Yes, Hebrew is around the edges. It probably could be the Hebrew used for Biblical Jewish scrolls. Modern Hebrew is not quite the same. Ukraine did have a Jewish synagogue.

According to the Jewish elders, Pustovoytenko was the first representative of the authorities who began to attend the synagogue during religious holidays. In the late Soviet era, the Sholom Aleichem Jewish Culture Society began to operate in Dnipropetrovsk and other Ukrainian cities with a significant Jewish population.

Worked on your photo, get it to look better. I don't know about color, might be over-done. But you can see the hammer and sickle Russian symbol clearly.

Noticed it had turtles on left edge, just as another WW2 medal did with ships. I thought I'd saved it, was like the red circular with ships added left side.
