Hi all!
We're in Duncan/Maple Bay and new to the metal detecting scene. At present we are still looking at machines to buy and are strongly leaning to the Garrett AT Max.
A few questions:
1. Is there anybody up in the Duncan area that goes digging or prospecting that we could join on a trip or two to learn the ropes?
2. If we were also interested in prospecting gold up-island and around the abandoned mines, would the AT Max be a good machine or should we be looking at something different?
3. Do any of you dig right through the wet winter months or do you hang up your machines until the spring time? Seems to be a lot of members on other Canada MD forums put away their machines and spend winters researching.
