Anyone cut their own cabs or into slab cutting and polishing? Getting into it myself. Would like to do opals. If anyone has some pics of their completed projects, please post them. Thanks, Tim

I do cabbs, almost all the way down we have a thread called "Lapidary pics" or something similar where both cabbing and faceting was brought up.

bigtim, go to this website and join up. I have been on here for 5 years or so and so have other member here. It is an awesome site if you are wanting to learn to cut cab polish wire wrap silver work etc. Alot of memeber trade rocks, Christmas time box swap....I havent cabbed in 2 years now but I cant wait to go out back to the shop and start it again....Rock Tumbling Hobby - Home

I agree, mamabear! Diamonds are after all just carbon... They are best suited for grinding other rocks.
