✅ SOLVED Anyone seen a button shape copper and iron back? Can not make out design.

Iit is very hard to see but you can clearly see some design and also the letter “O” in like the US currency Font. There is some sort of writing I can not make out what so ever. Just trying to get info if anyone has seen something like this before

I'm guessing it's an overalls/work clothing button. But I'm just guessing. I can't make anything out of the front...

You should be able to get the rest of that corrosion off. The design is still strong under it. I think I see a cross. You get the rest of that off and it will be an easier ID.

to my eye's it's a Victorian era basket weave button .

I am thinking the design is very close to this design here after taking a look again. Thanks. How do you clean something up like this anyway? I tooth brushed it that’s it.

I doubt cleaning will improve it , you could try warm peroxide but the button is pretty tosted
