Let’s get at least two more members, for our Arkansas Relic Hunters group. It’s the perfect time of the year here in Arkansas for relic, coin hunting, and to do some great research for later times of next year.

Dirtlooter are you interested? Right now we’re not going to do member dues, we will do a meet, and greet somewhere else, and on the next meeting I want to rent the schoolhouse, and have each member bring in their best finds from the area

Instead of renting a private meeting hall, have you looked at any area fire depts? Full time FDs are public buildings and they usually have a meeting room already set up with tables, chairs, lectern, etc. Best of all, they should be free to use. All you would need to do is make sure its available for the dates and times you want.

Its something to look into at least.

I’ve looked in to that option already, and our volunteer fire depts are snobs, we would have better luck meeting at the senior center than at their departments, and the full time fire departments have their guys living in there. If I still had my connections to the police dept I could use their meeting room. I have a cousin that’s a police chief and I may ask him if we could use his meeting room. I just went through there, and realized they’re not as busy, plus there is a park nearby for hunts
