Fun 2 hrs till I was asked to share for the evening hunt.
My shadow was long by then, no problem.
I don't want to get in the way of the buck hunt.

So 2 hrs produced some finds.
I have hit this site 6 full day hunts with the Deus 1 and once with the Etrac.
The Deus 2 opened up the site for me again.
Impressive machine.
Started off with the lantern part, then the bigger buckle, then the Tombac Crotal sitting on top.

Fun 2 hrs was had, lots of missed targets-just too many not to think that it was just not the new machine.
This is a no till site.

That bell is my favorite. What a great surface find. Congrats!

Thanks lenmac
Nothing is better than having something just laying there-especially when it's a keeper as the bell.
I was hoping it was complete and it was.

Way to go, Pepperj! Got new toy. Find new treasures.
Thanks WD
It seems to be doing really well in the heavy iron patches at sniffing out the new finds.
It the areas where things are well separated it seems that the Deus 1 kept up at sniffing things out.

The wach is way cool.....man is it thin !!

I think it was a part of a bracelet

Yes... it's a 'faux' watch. I've seen bracelets from the 1930s where the 'watch' is made from pressed Czech glass (as below) but haven't seen an enamelled metal one before. Very pretty though.

Congrats ... nice to see the Deus 2 is working out for you & opening back up your previous hunted sites! Do you have the 9" or 11" coil?
Thanks Hoagie
I have tested it on a couple of really hunted out sites-the amount of targets that it has pulled is impressive.
Banner worthy-no-The cool factor that it wakes up a site-yes!
I have the 9"-not knowing the dealer had a 11" sitting at his feet. (Gee you should of bought the 11" I had) Har/har/har.

I wasn't going methodically through the site yesterday - swinging fast, just cherry picking out the locked on #'s

2 pieces of iron-1 was a steel ring-and the other was a multi Sq. nail assortment.
(There might of been a small target in the mix) but time wasn't on my side-so I passed on finding the small bit.

The one thing I really like about the D2 is the lock on #-when it does-there's no doubt it's not going to be anything but a pouch entry.
The amount of iron that I dug with the Deus 1 compared to this new D2-I sold my shares in the steel mills. :laughing7:

Thanks Red-Coat for the ID (not quite the same-but just another brand of the same item)

It seems that this homestead had a bit of $$$ over others-more middle road pieces of jewelry-a bit more coinage lost-military buttons, sterling cutlery, and quality like the Henry rifle shells.

Great finds there Pepper, glad the new machine is working well for you.
Thanks Steve
It really seems a step up in quality.
Now to step up from the basic program is the question of what abilities I need. 😁
