Nice write up, if they get the place and find you a little spot for a display post it up in the future.

Gotta be more then that tho...

Nice Job

National Defense Service Medal...this one was most likely either from the Korean or Vietnam Wars. No way to identify the owner so into the collection it went.

Not sure where the reporter got that number from?

Thanks everyone for the comments.

About losing the site, it is being developed so will be lost soon to 'progress' plus the more the merrier. I just ask other detectorist when I take them or if they ask me to go to the site without me that if they find anything historic they donate it to the Historical Society. If someone does not and I find out about it I just no longer take them to any good sites. I'm a member of the historical society and I have a great relationship with the group. They are my researchers and usually obtain permission for me then I receive a call on my cell telling me where to go to hunt...lol. If any detectorist has a local historical society and they are not a member they are really missing out. Other then when I'm working with archeologists the historical society has gotten me on to many of my best sites. I work fulltime and have three little kids so my time is very limited so this situation works out very well for me and my lifestyle.
