Stopped by an early 1900's house on the way home from work today and found these items. The quarter is there for size reference, of course.

The first item to the right of the quarter would be my first three ring! Sorry for the picture quality...amateur!!

The Ford emblem was made by Fox Company of Cincinnati, OH.

The larger object appears to be a bent hood ornament possibly. The bottom of the loop nearest the base is flat inside the loop.

BigDawg30701, Kuger is riight, the circular brass object is a rein-guide (also called a rein terret) from a wagon/buggy horseharness. That particular type dates from before, during, and long after the civil war. (There's really no way to accurately time-date the "plain" ones.)

When possible, I try to help out by contributing photos to show a digger what his/her find looked like in usage before it was lost. See photos below.

Sadly, I have to tell you that your "first 3-ring bullet" is too small to be a civil war 3-ring bullet. But keep searching NW Georgia and you will succeed. (My first 4 years of civil war relic digging were in NW Georgia, and I'm sure I missed a lot of 3-ring Minie-balls.)

The green thing appears to be a modern "powerbelt style" saboted muzzleloading bullet. The orange cap is probably purex laundry soap. The white disk is a jar lid seal.

They date right back to the Iron Age, the one posted is 1800-1900's.

Thanks for the replies! Will keep searching for a CW three ringer.

I found similar Ford emblems on eBay that date back to the 1930's.

On the road to my next hunt!! Have a great day!!

Your right on the green bullet, I've done my fair share of muzzle loading and it's a 45cal or 50cal.
