And the best part, it was in the woodsy part of my yard.
I was swinging the AT Pro looking for wheaties. I found 6 here this year already with the oldest being 1926 and was hoping for silver.
I hit on a high 70s tone and about 6 inches deep came this 1950s wheat. It was under a thick pine tree. I swung the coil about a foot further under the tree and got a 67. It was so thick I had to crawl on my knees and swing the coil holding the shaft.
Thinking it may be an old nickel since it was so close to the wheatie I started to dig. I could only get about 3 inches down so I grabbed the pin pointer and started probing. I buzzed and beeped in the loose dirt and this is what I saw

I knew it was gold right off the bat.
I removed it to get a better shot.

I was so excited, I ran in the house to clean it up and verify it was gold.

14K Gold men's signet ring.
I am not sure if the stone is ruby, garnet, agate, OR what.
How can I tell what the stone is?
There is an "M" makers mark also.
Any help in the makers mark?
Thanks for looking.

Yes, square tabs hit in this range. I have learned to dig it all or at least above 40.
I will have to get this on a scale.
