I haven't posted much as the finds lately haven't been stellar even for Illinois standards. Although we did dig a sawed off shotgun a couple weeks ago. Our first real gun. This weekend was great! I found a nice 1917 SLQ yesterday and Bob found a 1911 and a 1902 V nickel and one that we can't get the date. Today we found 4 1919 wheats and I got a crusty 1895s Barber half. It was buried in gravel so pretty ugly but yay! Bob got a little pin, a Hills Bros Coffee thimble and locket today. The most fun was when a red headed woodpecker stopped by while we were taking a break. Bob opened an app with bird calls and played the red headed woodpecker calls. That little guy went crazy flying over us returning the calls and banging on the pole nearby. We sure got a laugh! Hope you all had a great weekend too!

Sweet outing indeed.. A very nice pile of silver and that SLQ is in great shape.. and it is a type 1.. Up here in the great white north, we never find those up here.. although I have found a CC half and a US 10 dollar gold.. so there is hope

Trade you! 🙂. We can't find hardly anything gold. A gold coin would mind blowing!

An SLQ is at the very tippy-top of my wish list. Yours ROCKS!
