Won't be long til my expected half $1000 bag is full at one of my local branch banks. The young teller says that it is nearly full, and that it has been on the bag rack since last Nov. which is fine with me, at least there has been no single DUMPER to load his rejects. I'm crossing my fingers for a wide variety, AG I hope. I'll keep you all posted. She also had ordered over Easter a half $ box (double stack $500) for me, got it Tues, SKUNKSville. Maybe the bag to come is positive.

If it is close to full, top it off and take it. Otherwise, you risk missing it.

Your inside person might have a day off when it fills and it ends up going out with the rest of the coin.
Or, another hunter shows up, fills it and buys it.
Or, who knows???? Don't chance it!

I've done a few bags of half dollars - they can be very good , or otherwise - my best had 25 or 30 silvers - though it may have been 2 bags and 51 silvers - i don't remember ... good luck !

Ditto what LC says. It's (often) very worth relooking at $100 or so of your own halves, than running the risk of it leaving the bank without you. Just saying.

Finally picked up more half $ rolls. I now have enough to TOP OFF the half $ bag., by Fri for sure, but first I need to sell back some of the dime boxes that I acquired last Sat. Crossing for fingers for AG.

More SUSPENSE, finally picked up the H$ bag, needed $231 to top it off. BUT, date on bag when installed on machine was: 2/17/2016. OVER A YEAR in the making, and that includes my $231 to top it off. Who knows how long it would have taken without my $231?
Also picked up 3-dime boxes from other banks to finish up month of May.
Will post bag results when finished. Hope there is some 90% AG; WL's, Bens, would be nice.

I've had the opportunity to purchase 2 $1000 half dollar bags off of different coin machines before... each bag produced nicely, about 60 and 90 silvers in each bag. Good luck!

My $1000-bag results on HALVES.
Numbers started out very slow, I think it took $150 into it that the first 40-% showed up. Final results as: 3-90% to incl (1941-D Walker, 2-64D Ken), 23-40% to incl (66-1, 67-14, 68D-6, 69D-2), totals out as 4.49oz, took over a year to fill, but I find it worthy of the wait. Also in bag were 6- NIFC(var dates).

Thank you for promptly posting those results. I know plenty of us were in suspense because a bag is a much different animal than our usual boxes. Did you find any other foreign coins or lower denomination coins? The bags I get tend to have a couple toonies (Canadian $2 coin) and $15 or so in quarters, dimes, nickels and cents. Thank you for sharing your finds.
Better than two boxes, that's for sure.

Truer words have never been said!

Awesome finds. I've gone thru a bunch of bags and everyone gives up at least 1-2 silvers. Thanks for sharing Dozer D.
