✅ SOLVED Bayonet ID needed

I got this bayonet at a moving sale today. It measures 33 cm or just about 13" long overall and the blade is 20cm or 7 7/8" long. The only markings are some numbers on either side of the guard. I can only make out the one side, I think it is marked 045. The other side is marked with 6k135 or 155. That's it. It looks like someone painted the thing gold or something too. I can find similar from South Africa but nothing identical to this one. Here's the pics

Swedish carbine bayonet m/1914 Is the closest I have seen yet. Very close. Modified? Carbine m/1894 bayonet trials

I like Diggumup's Swedish ID - but it's much shorter than a M1914. Perhaps an export or carbine version

I'm gonna mark this solved. This appears to be a Swedish Carbine M/1914 bayonet that I posted the link to last night. The blade on mine has been shortened a lot (200mm vs 332mm) and the blade guard has been modified also. Other than that it is exact to specs. My question is, why would someone modify it to such an extreme? I'm gonna take the handles off and try to remove the paint that is on it. Any ideas as to the best solvent to use for that?

It could have been shortened for use as a fighting knife. Long blades aren't very good in hand to hand combat. As far as removing the paint, any paint remover will work, and shouldn't hurt the metal at all. Or you can use a heat gun.

If they used a plastic type finish on the wood, you might have to experiment with which paint remover works, but that's the way to do it, if you try to sand it or scrape it, you will probably screw up your wood to metal fit. Careful use of paint remover doesn't do that.
