Bell or candle snuffer, but has a screw hook. Found it on once was an old farm/home 20161111_125526.jpg 20161111_125413.jpg 20161111_125324.jpg . Thanks for looking

My guess would be to tie a piece of string to it and hang it somewhere

When i was a kid some of the stores would have a bell hanging on the door, to tell them a customer came in .
Could the clapper have hung from the end of the threads of the hook ?
anyways that my guess .

I think its in the right direction. Has anyone seen the ringer to bell screwed in, like in this case? Is that to change the tone? Age? Thanks again!
