I think my Indian War sites hunting is done for this year. I have to travel a distance to get to the better permissions I have. I've found some really cool pieces this year...some of which I'm still trying to identify. Without a doubt though, this nearly complete Model 1872 Dress Helmet Badge is my favorite. There's something about the eagle design that makes my heart feel good. It's missing the E PLURIBUS UNUM banner across the top and there's a few cracks in it, but its the best condition one I've found thus far. They don't turn up often these days.
