Buy a Chevy Volt/Bolt and get one free-but don't park your Volt/Bolt in the garage, near the house, or near any other vehicle. (Friend has a Volt-waiting for his 3rd battery)
It might burn it down.
"This third and latest recall includes 73,000 Bolts made from 2019 to 2022, the current model year, and brings the total recall to nearly 142,000 cars, with over 100,000 having been sold in the US. GM estimates that the initial recalls will cost $800 million, and it expects the new one to add $1 billion to the total. GM said it will be seeking reimbursement from LG."

All of the energy scams - electric cars, windmills, solar - are wishful thinking by people who dream that the world operates differently than it does. None of them can be produced without oil/coal energy, all of them are full of dangerous material that cannot be recycled, and they each make more pollution in their production and use than they supposedly save.

Luckily, there's no environmental impact when charging these cars???

(Wait while I plant tongue in cheek) - BTW, love the image! Diesel powered generator for powering charging station.

Yes, because as we all know electricity is produced using only rainbows and unicorns. Never would anyone use something like, oh . . . say natural gas, diesel, or coal . . . to produce electricity.

Folks need to understand that from a scientific standpoint, any time you convert energy from one form to another there is LOSS . . . of course, no one on the electric vehicle train wants anyone to know that. Even electric transformers which are very efficient still have loss when transforming voltage from 110v AC to 5v DC to charge your phone.

I always thought about that. Electric cars can have more impact on the environment than fuel cars which are going to be banned in several countries in the future. Will it be for the better? I don't think so.

chargers will need to be lined up like parking meters across the country roads and streets.

pay for that bill along with the electric charge, while all that oil lies dormant
unless there is a 4 to 8 year battle back and forth Gas / Electric / Gas / Electric / Gas / Electric ............... forever

Electric ?

The idea is everyone have a giant solar array on thier roof. Problem here is most people have to share a roof and sunshine is just non-existant in some areas and intermittent in most others. Then people do not realize the solar cells produce high amounts of heat Not that I believe in global warming hoax, but if everybody had a big solar array then it might become a reality.

On the other side, electrics are clean, quiet, smooth, low maintenance and yes, gas engines are likely to be banned in the not-too-distant future if the greenies get thier way. So yeah, no free lunches in the energy world until they harness nuclear fusion. But I didn't hear one single word about that in the big spending bill. You know why? Because politicians can't get their fingers in the pie. Screw the average citizen.

New battery technology now has like millions of miles on these battery packs. There's not going to be much swapping out battery packs ever again.

Electric cars are BS. Car prices are through the roof as is. So let’s tack on another $19,000 per vehicle. Outrageous! Why is an electric vehicle more expensive to produce than a gas powered vehicle? It’s called HUMAN GREED! I’m sick of these larvae eating environmentalists and the crap they are shoving down our throats. “Oh the Climate!, Oh the CO2, Oh the hole in the ozone” Greta Thornburgh? UGH!, who in the hell does this little punk think she is the way she mouths off to humanity? She and the rest of these smug self righteous anti- fossil and nuke fuel larvae eaters would be the first cry bloody murder if they didn’t have power to live in comfort and heat their scrawny leotard draped frozen buts. Hey TOOTS it’s the price you pay for CIVILIZATION. Thank You, I feel better now. :nono::nono::nono::nono::nono:
