because at the moment (last time) he is using it.
unfortunately people can change Email providers at any time :(

Just a heads up that If a person uses hushmail to Buy or sell here,
Be extra cautious & ask around.

If he switches providers we will hopefully get updates.

if the person provides an Arkansas Phone # 479-595-????
also ask around, make sure it works, &
somehow make sure it is not a $10 wallmart disposable.
(How I don't know ?)

this is not a put down on Arkansas members as you know,
Just a caution note on new members especially
who use hushmail are from Ark. & are buying or selling at this time.

Again Updates & changes can happen.

So far he has even supplied the name
TERRY LAMB

& address

Which is odd considering his history.

Hopefully this is not an unsubstantiated Witch Hunt started by
another forum / member years ago,
that follows him around.

But he even gave an address for a House that is already published
on the net as for Sale 12834 FRISCO CEMETERY Road, Lowell AR 72745, MLS # 678801, Weichert.com

12834 Frisco Cemetery Rd, Lowell, AR 72745 - Zillow

The best way to verify a phone is to ask for a landline number and make sure the name and address match. Sometimes you can do an internet search for the number and get a history on the seller. In the past, this had provided links to deals gone bad on ham radio sites as well as detectors. Now... be careful, there is another Terry Lamb among us that is ok. Unfortunately he shares the same name but it stops there.

You can check Fone Finder query form and it will let you know the carrier of the phone number for free and that should show cell or land line. One of the issues with phones now days is it's common that people no longer have land lines. Also through gmail you can get a free phone number from the area code of your choice and have it ring through to any number you want. I'm sure others must offer phone numbers also. I would think personal references would be the safest bet to verify if someone is a strait shooter or not.

Good luck to all and Caveat Emptor
Richard

Yes there is also Spoofing.

My understanding there is a way to change your number every time you make a call to someone also,
so when they call back they get someone else or a out of service # message.

telemarketers are doing this.

as for the Number this "Terry Lamb" provided

Line Type: Cell Phone
Location: FAYETTEVILLE, AR
Carrier: New Cingular Wireless PCS LLC - IL

Google does wonders when you google phone Numbers

I think we should call them Scam A-holes because calling them an Artist just doesn't sound right.

Is this the guy who scamed us on the quarter deal. If so he will have his day. Only pay with paypal and make sure the person is VERIFIED with a checking account linked to the paypal name. If you have to get your money back with them being verified, if they scam you paypal has to reemburs your monies.... HH everyone. Freddy

Being a new member, it is a bit dismaying to learn about problems with scams. I have some items that treasure hunters like yourselves might be interested in and I would like to sell them on this site. I am not a scammer and would like to know what I can do to prove that. I look forward to your suggestions.

Mradventure- the key to being a good seller on here is first build a good reputation with these guys and gals an also you must be a charter member.

Of course no doubt you need to be a charter member to sell something. I was jokingly asking out of curiosity.
