Big Day Yesterday 35 Old Coins. 01 Barber Half Crisp 1918S SLQ & A Bunch Of Other Coi

Well with everything the way it currently is the only thing your allowed to do is hunt for now.

I decided I'm taking a break from the Corona virus and headed out to an old grove.

It's been producing well since the growth is low and I can work some tougher areas.

I hunted for 5 hours like I'd never get out again. It was just one of those days. Just kept finding coin after coin.

Ended up with a really nice haul. Mercs v nickles tokens wheats etc.

Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during this tough time.

Jer

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Sorry been hectic with work.

Site was once an old lake from the 1870s it's a overgrown wooded area now.

It's been producing for years. It's amazing that you can walk over so many times and miss big silver.

Lots of props to minelab. The Nox is a very good machine bringing life back to old worked over sites.

I'm not sure what the stone thing is. Its sterling and the stone looks cut it's all faceted it's really neat. May have been part of a fancy pocket watch chain?

I looked the coin over hard and did not see the 8 over 7 date. Maybe but I'm pretty sure it's not.

Got a vanquish today so I'll be field testing and seeing what it can do. First look at it today it's well built and air test well.

Getting laid off thursday so hope I can atleast hunt.

Stay healthy everyone.

Yes

I have to agree it's a really cool old pin heavy. Reminds me of a bomber type plane WW2.

It was actually the first keeper of the day.

Yeah it was really a great day of hunting. A lot of fun hunting a site that is hot.

Yeah it was work. I treked some large hills fought like 20 ticks along the way and took a bad thorn broke off into the index finger through the glove.

Go through alot of crap looking for coins and relics. Just really enjoy hunting.

Curious to know what the date is on that high grade SLQ. Yeah Man, I'll bet you were a happy camper with all of those very nice finds.

Thanks guys

Yeah I think I have a pretty good handle on the NOX. The learning curve wasn't to bad. I really like that the scale only goes to 40

Much easier to determine what's under the coil. Multi i.q is top notch right now in the MD world.

I would imagine this site still holds more treasure. It's a large area. Tics are really bad this year though

This site is loaded with them to.
