I went out last evening and tried a new location. It turned out great. I got some old large coppers and buttons plus some other stuff. I also got a cool old lead man figure. The highlight of my night was finding a compete unique gold bracelet. It was lost by one of the thin rings broken but even that is still attached. It may not be very old but it sure was plenty deep and basically in the middle of all the old finds. It?s stamped 14k and would be for all the links, pendant and clasp. What makes its special is it has 7 natural pure high karat gold nuggets linked together. It also has a brownish stone thing encased in the pendant part. Maybe someone will recognize the material. It seems very thin and hollow when I tap it. Thanks for looking and I can?t wait to see what else is around there since it got dark on me fast! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘

What an interesting gold nugget bracelet Kevin. :notworthy:
It obviously meant a lot to whoever found those nuggets and then made them into a bracelet for a loved one.

I love this British Belt Plate you found as well. I wonder why it wasn't engraved with the regiment info though, were some of these left undecorated? :icon_scratch:
I too am going to vote BANNER for your nugget bracelet find.

Dave

I appreciate the vote big time. Not sure how clear the pictures are because I had to post off my phone and the app no longer works for me. Yes some plates were plain. I imagine for the lowest ranks but Iโ€™m not sure. Research time I guess! Haha

I havenโ€™t been down there in awhile but thereโ€™s been big changes this year. Upgraded roads and parking lots. Updated restrooms and shops plus a huge boardwalk over some of the rocks and massive balcony to see the ocean and lighthouse. They not fully completed yet but close Iโ€™m told. :icon_thumright:

Not sure that?s better (I?m becoming more anti-development as I age) but I suppose if it keeps some of the dumb people from going down to the slippery rocks and falling in, it?s a good thing...

Umm wow! Congrats. Iโ€™m still searching for my first gold of any kind. I would be doing a dance if I found a tiny little ring. But if I pulled that out of the ground I would be screaming and shaking. Nice work!

I?m on the same page that it would be a shame to ruin the old charm of peggys cove. I?m giving them the benefit of the doubt until it?s done that it?s actually a improvement. We shall see and I?ll update you when it compete! :icon_thumright:

Cleaned a couple of rough coins that I found at the bracelet site. Turns out they were older then I thought. A George ii and George iii halfpenny.
