Got out for a bit of a walk today. Breezy but not too chilly. Found bits and pieces from a wide range of dates. Nothing much to write home about but interesting enough for me. Besides, I got what I came for! :)

Interesting button. Bit of a design on the back, sort of a dome to the front.

Interesting piece. Congratulations on getting out there and on the finds, Sir.
Thank you, milady!

Always nice to get out. If I actually find something? Mores the merrier!

Wish I could figure that lil green rectangle. I feel sure I've seen one before. Just can't remember where.

What a mix... Amazing layers of time.
Congrats on the outing!
That is one reason I like this place. It really reminds that *all* ground is old! So many things happening over many, many years, in one small area! I just never know what to expect! :)

''Seems vaguely familiar''

Reminds me of the late 18th C horse harness Strap Guides (missing it's U shaped piece), however it could be furniture related. Must be at least 19th C.

Could very well be. Obvious two mounting holes but on the back is a nub of something too. Oh well, just another unknown. Still interesting. Maybe decorative piece on a gun? :dontknow:

Thanks!

Yeah, it's the nub thats throwing me. Makes no sense. The patination is nice (green). I think furniture or box is more likely than gun, but...not sure.
