I'm looking for a little help dating this bottle. I've found items on my property ranging from the mid-19th c., so I'd like to place where this little lady who was laying half above ground when I found her fits in. It's hard to tell, but there's a faint grey-purple tint to it.

On a side note, is there a good book that I can use as a primer to learning about the history of bottles and dating them?

Thanks as always.

Is there a seam on the sides, or any marking on the bottom? Just a guess I would say late 1800/early 1900?
