Walking down my driveway I spot this, very near where I found an arrowhead years ago.
Mind racing, how did this come to be I been up and down this 20 years!!!
Took a couple pictures picked it up and had a good laugh. Dang conduit sliver!!

Dang! I’ve had that happen to me as well. I was in the river looking for points and found a small trade pipe and was so happy until I picked up and saw that it was actually a rubber lawnmower spark plug cover. I felt cheated!!

been there done that! occasionally ... hardly ever.... i will pick one up that IS an artifact but i thought it wasn't.
