Hi All,
Was wondering if this heel plate had another part to it or not. It’s a whole piece not broken, it’s worn down sharp on one end from use. Found in a union camp.
Hope everyone’s getting out an about!
Thanks in advance

Neat looking heel plate.
My thoughts are it's a corner of one.
Reason: The drilled placement of the holes.
There's too much metal from the corner hole-to the corner in photo #1

it seems to be made like that to correct foot and leg alignment . if so there was just the one piece .

Ticndig, I cringe just looking at that right foot! Very interesting idea.

I have only found one heel plate in 50 yrs.
Something that was so common really isn't all that common in the finds dept. Toe taps are a regular find at most sites.

You're heel plate had certainly walked a good many miles.
I really wonder where they all are.
Dug mine in Uxbridge Ont. Big park that had originally a homestead on it, the only keeper.

Looks like he walked on the side of each foot. Not on his heel.
