Brass Piece

Hello All. I found this brass piece after work at a site the had (4) 1900's-ish homes on it. I am thinking it is a hinge of some sort?...any ideas are welcomed.

C9 I was thinking maybe a gate latch .

It might have been the base for a latch bolt. Look at some latches for the side boards on a stake bed truck....that type of design.

I'm thinking something electrical? is it one piece, does the round pc with

the two holes have a slit in it, lioke a clamp?

Agree. I think it's a grounding distribution block. Maybe for a lightning rod or old telephone system.

Foot pedal piece IMO... two bolt holes for shaft to be tightened to a "rod".
