Buckle(ish)

Not sure what this is or was. I found it on my Grandfathers farm (his parents home and he is 85). I know the home is at least 85 years old . How old do you think this is? And what was it used for? It's fairly small. Found the piller on the porch.

This is my first guess since the buckle is curved. It's the right size, too.

I was thinking a buckle for a horse reign or something along those lines. Don't they use buckles on saddles and things like that. If it's a farm - just a thought...

But, it is a nice buckle...

It is very sturdy and the back says "Nelson Bros". I found it in an old corn field in front of the house. Thanks! Kevin

Oh we use those in the classrooms here. You superglue a strap to the kids chin and super glue the buckle to the kids upper lip and strap their trap.
