what type of critter lives in this.i took it home and put it in the kids room.i thought it might turn into a pretty butterfly.but it crawled away. i didnt see it for a few days.then it was by the front door which is about 35ft away.i let him go

Confusion :dontknow:

Did it crawel away still looking like that ?

if it did, are you sure that is not it's skin ?

Havn't heard of anything that can move it's own Cacoon.

If it craweled out of it, And crawled to the door ,
did it look like a Catapiller ?

Could it be a Bag worm ?

no its not the skin it lives in it and comes out and crawls just alittle bit with the cacoon still attached.it dragged the cacoon with him everywhere it went.when it would poke its head out it looked like a beetles head.

Jeff solved it. Green check and kill it or take it back where you found it.. You dont want it infesting your trees.
