I find a lot of lipsticks while detecting--at first glance, thought this was another one. Looked at it later, realized it isn't. Any ideas? (It's very thick, heavy metal.)

It doesn't open. I HAVE found lots of lipsticks--this isn't one.

Well, you all were right! Found this from an old Tnet thread…it is a lipstick. Maybe 1920s. Going to try and clean it up…maybe it’s got fancy
