I wonder if the object on the left is some kind of pin (CW era).

I think that “pin” is a shield-shaped decoration piece for a harness or saddle. Maybe called a harness boss? Maybe someone else that is better with IDs will weigh in. Nice finds. Congrats!

Yeah, the pictures are posted upside down; it's easier to see it's some kind of shield.
