A friend of mine showed me this button he came across. Can anyone I.D. it and tell me it's approximate age? It was found in the Milledgeville Georgia area.

That appears to be a very unique find. Albert's book, on page 19, shows various ones with different numbers. Yours is for the 2nd Regiment. They were made from 1798 to 1802. Very nice, sir.

Thank you sir for the thought of a banner. However, I did not find it. (Wish I did!)So, it does not qualify. A friend of mine sent me the pictures that I posted. I knew with no doubt that it was a good find and someone here could put an I.D. on it. Which they did. I passed the information back to the owner of the button. A button,that we would all love to find. :icon_thumleft:
