It looks like a three piece General Staff, Officer button. Can you count the stars around the border and in the shield. If there are 21 around the border and 13 in the shield, it was made by the "Scovill Mf g Co./ Waterbury". If there are only 5 stars in the shield it was made by the "Waterbury Button Co.***"

Great thanks so much......I did find this just this morn on a relicman sight....it is Scovill COOL..!!
