🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Cap Shaped Piece of Lead with Square Hole

I found this a couple days ago on an old farm site that dates to the 1830s. The square hole reminds me of a square nail hole. I am pretty sure it is lead as it is fairly heavy. It is almost exactly 2" long.

not at two inches long. Unless you mean a weight for a string on a blind or something like that. Every window weight I have seen has been much larger.
Window / sash weights were made in an array of sizes and shapes.

Are you sure? those weigh several pounds(like 1-5 lbs depending on size you showed) and are much larger than what is pictured at 1 3/4 inch wide. I went to the website that sells these you pictured for the dimensions and weight.
I still maintain I have never seen a window weight that small.

Are you sure? those weigh several pounds(like 1-5 lbs depending on size you showed) and are much larger than what is pictured at 1 3/4 inch wide. I went to the website that sells these you pictured for the dimensions and weight.
I still maintain I have never seen a window weight that small.
I agree. Considering it is only 3/4 of an ounce I don't think it's a window weight.

Here are some more pictures. The hole is around .160" square. The outer diameter is around 0.54". The inner diameter is around 0.415"
