Haven't been able to get out much lately, but my brother berkshiremike and I decided to check out a cornfield close to town that may have been the site of some early 20th century gatherings. Weather was awesome for this time of year, so couldn't pass it up. Wasn't expecting much, but really jonesing to find a merc or something shiny.

Wasn't disappointed when the wheat pennies started showing up, then dimes and quarters. Got my fix and then some, but the kicker was a capped bust dime just a couple inches in the ground. Totally unexpected, can't wait to get back!

Wow, theres got to be more there waiting for your coil. With a wide date range like that it must have seen a lot of gatherings through all that time. I like the capped best, hopefully more to follow.

Now that's a handful of silver! Check the 1 in 10 C on the back. There is a flat topped 1 version that is rare. Unfortunately, my 1827 dime is not the flat topped version.

Wow ... what a great site !
Look at the date span on the coins - it must have been a popular spot for many years.
Now stopping typing and GO BACK !

Good Luck !
