Never thought Iā€™d find the other half, I decided to call out on a Friday and go metal detecting in a spot Iā€™d been many times before, the tide was dead low so I could get out to the drop off I hadnā€™t been able to in past hunts, after about an hour of pull tabs and zinc Pennieā€™s I pulled half a Cartier diamond love bracelet using my Excalibur II I couldnā€™t believe it. my friend immediately googled the price $11,100 was the price of the bracelet I spent 2 hours combing the area trying to find the other half and nothing. Finally it got too dark to detect and the tide had come in. Sitting at home fondling the half a bracelet that I now know is $5500 alot of thoughts went through my mind, did they only lose half, half fall into the boat or kayak or paddle board. Saturday the weather was terrible and I couldnā€™t get out, come Sunday I call my brother and go back to the spot this time with me Equinox 800, prior to leaving the house I swung the half a bracelets under the nox coil for a perfect 12-14 nothing in between above or below, as soon as we got to our spot I went right to where I found the first half and began searching and cherry picking those numbers first target pull tab second target I scoop and begin to shake the scoop looking to see whose watching me and the same clinging sound I herd two days prior had me shaking as I looked in my scoop with disbelief I see the other half of bracelet , I ran on water to my car and told my brother we had to go just so I could put it together. What a weekend.

Welcome to Tnet.

That's a fantastic find if it is authentic Cartier.

But be aware that these bracelets are one of the most counterfeited jewellery items. Could we see some more pictures please, including the back, the Cartier mark and the screws?

Iā€™ll have to get some better pictures of the screws for you but the weight was 32 grams and it is 18k gold I had a jeweler shoot it with the gun

Nice find...I too hope it turns out to be legit.

I know it's "Cartier", but for the life of me I can't see why anybody
would spend $11,000 on a bracelet that has slot headed screws in
it for decoration.

Fashion & perceived value. Same reason people buy Louis Vuitton, Burberry, sneakers athletes where, expensive watches, expensive cars, etc etc etc.

At least itā€™s made of gold.

Well, the weight is in range, but that's also the case for some of the better fakes, and the better ones may be 750 gold or gold-fill with a base metal core.

I don't see any of the usual red flags associated with the cheap fakes (which are much lighter in weight), so that's good so far. The only oddity I can see from the pictures so far is that the slope of the letters in the Cartier mark appears not to be consistent. Compare the slope on the 't' and the 'i' for example, versus an authentic Cartier mark:

I'm also curious as to why some of marks have been obliterated (in your pictures, or on the piece itself?):

I actually edited the picture to cover the serial number cause I didnā€™t want anyone claiming owner ship because all cartier love rings and bracelet come with a certificate of authenticity with the serial number and Iā€™ve herd of people creating fake certificate to attempt to claim The item

Actual stamped Cartier pieces (I own one) are not all stamped as precise as a picture on a screen.

I have never seen gold break like that. Was there a feature at the break like a clasp or a hinge?
I added two more pictures of it put back together itā€™s a two piece cuff bracelets and takes screws to secure that if they become too loose will cause them to separate

I don't know how I missed this earlier, but congrats on an incredible find!
Thank you itā€™s definitely my best find til this day as far as value and modern jewelry, finding that second half was such a rush and still canā€™t believe it happened. I love telling the story to anyone who will listen šŸ˜‚. It even got my brother into detecting with me on a regular basis after he witnessed the second half come out.
