Very cool! Just saying hello. I'm in the Madison County, Mississippi area. I consider myself very new to the hobby. I have an old Whites detector, but looking to upgrade. I've been visiting what I think are old home sites, but haven't found anything with this detector. A lot of garbage and not very deep.

Welcome to the hobby! Old house sites are some of the best places to hit. But it does require lots of patience because of the amount of junk. But there are some fantastic relics to be found. I've been relic hunting for 41 years and I'd say 80% of my finds are from old home site locations.
