Yes some luck there but I am also only 20 miles from the Savannah River and about 25 miles from a known Chert quarry well known to have been a frequently visited spot possibly going back 15k years or more. Interestingly the lance point and the white one were found about 200 yards a part. There was digging and back fill in the area so a good bit of disturbed dirt was present and near an old creek to boot.Great start those lance points don’t pop up all that often, I’d say that’s definitely some beginners luck. Also to have a handful of well formed complete points is a great start, it probably was a few years before I had that many full and nice points.
That white one next to the lance is interesting, I don’t know types in your area but it’s almost like it was on its way to being a dovetail.
Yikes What?Yikes!
What type and material are you calling it? Beautiful material and unique!Yikes What?
I have heard it called Allendale chert since the quarry is located in Allendale, SC called the Topper site. The dig site has been dated to possibly past 20k years ago. Some say yes and some say questionable. You’re killing it! We’ll done. What are you calling that pink blade? It looks like an oldie. Material?
