An old Indian chief whose wife recently died came into town near the Reservation where he lived.
There were no unattached squaws left in camp, and He was looking for a new squaw to fulfill his life's desires.
He found a spot on the dusty old street where all the ladies would pass by.

As the ladies passed by he would hold up his hand in the usual Indian fasion,
and greet them with the word "Chance". "Chance".

An old cowpoke across the street observed all this, and wanting to help After a couple of days of greeting the ladies with no response, the cowpoke casually strolled over, and knowing the old man was greeting the ladies in somewhat of a weird fasion, informed him.

No you're greeting them the wrong way, you're supposed to say, "How"
The old chief looked at the cowpoke with a stubborn frown of disapproval,
and said, Me know how, Me want chance!!!
