I hear people say that they use a long screwdriver to pinpoint where the object they detect is exactly. But then they complain about putting scratches on the coin. I was wondering, if you coated the bottom-half of the screwdriver in something like JB Weld or something, would that prevent scratches? JB Weld is practically harder than steel, so it shouldn't have much trouble going into the ground. At the end it could be rounded ever so slightly to where it would hit the coin, without sharp edges, to prevent damage to them? It's just an idea I had, I'd love to hear other's opinions!
