Why do you say it?s likely Cherokee? They were only in Oklahoma for I would guess 80ish years where they would be producing stone points. Looks older to me maybe a grand or some type of Snyder?s cluster, hopewellian era point. If it’s brown and not the lighting I’d guess hertha chert like this point

No that's good input. I really have no idea about this one. I was told Cherokee. I dont have idea about anything Oklahoma. Thanks for the reply though. Just wanted to know a bit more about it.

I think you are on the right track, although I'd say they stopped knapping points before they arrived in Oklahoma. That technology was lost within a few generations of contact and trade for most groups east of the Mississippi.

I could get behind that just being generous, maybe some were made in a pinch, or as art to be sold to white people. But certainly not the material of choice by the time the reached Oklahoma
