Thanks for the replies, anyone know if the date is actually one of the symbols? One of my best finds in my short metal detecting history, sure do love this hobby, wish I would of started younger with good knees. Plenty of advil. Thanks again.

Looking at your first photo of the coin the 隆 long character has the 一 and 生 therefore it was made between 1735–1796

Mackadon gave you a great reference to key-out those Chinese coins...!
My first had a likely LOSER. Turns out the property I was hunting on, had a Chinese worker
on the ranch, and he might have been the one to drop it, An important item,
as it reminded him of his home country, while working in this foreign land....!
Plus, there is a photo of him, too...! Cool, eh?

Very nice !!! Many of those coins were lost by Chinese that helped build railroads throughout the country. I have found a couple of them here in Texas.
