Todays finds about .36 cents in clad and a woman’s ring marketed .925 with what appears to be 0.02ct diamonds. It’s a size 7. Registered a 86-87 on the XpD2 TID
I know its .925 by markings and Diamond tester says diamonds but they’re small and I could be hitting the sides of the setting (silver). It was worth being rained on and almost struck by lightning 🤪😳

Nice! What would make you think that testing silver would give a positive diamond indication? My guess is that you did test the stone, otherwise you would for sure get a negative indication.
Grats and thanks for the share.

It states in the directions of the Diamond tester that if it hits metal it could come back a false positive.

You would think whoever manufactured the ring and marked it with .925 it would also state CZ?

Nice ring, congrats!
It's not uncommon to find melee diamonds in silver jewelry without marking as such.

I was unaware of the false metal positive. Thanks for the education and get out there for another or a few.
