I would lean towards home made/artisan made just because of the use of what looks like galvanized hardware out of your local store, something that I have almost never seen used on mass produced furniture. It is usually brass or chrome plated when made by a larger. any evidence of a tag or stamp on the bottom somewhere? or discolorations that indicated there was a tag at some point?

No markings or branding. Attached a photo of the bottom for reference.

I will tell you this... someone put a ton of work into that.

I am leaning towards a "one off".... made by someone who was into woodworking.
