Good Evening!
Today I went for a short hunt on lunch today out where I work. I've hunted those woods pretty good over the past year but still get signals that I missed in the past.
The first signal was hitting in the 30s all the way around and I for sure thought it was going to be a silver Quarter but instead was a copper bullet lol. The next was an old lead bullet and after that was a nickel signal under a small palmetto tree. I dug it and found it was a buffalo nickel, it was pretty cool the dirt impression it made. After the second nickel I started getting High tones which thought maybe wheat pennies but got 3 Mercury dimes instead!!
Thanks for looking!

Try the semi-frozen vinegar and peroxide trick on those nickels, I'll bet they'll come out nice.
I guess I missed that trick, please elaborate

Just put some white vinegar in a small plastic container and put it in the freezer. Keep an eye on it and remove it when it starts getting slushy, add a small splash of peroxide and set your nickels in the slush. I typically leave them overnight. Sometimes you have to repeat the process for the opposite side. They end up clean and shiny.

Thank you guys so much for all your comments!! I really like the old spills because it was so long ago when they were dropped and the times were different.
