Colonial buckles ?

Pretty sure the large one is a colonial era buckle ? Any confirmation on this and further info? Also smaller buckle also appears period? Looks different than the common horse tack buckle but not sure .

The bigger one is definitely colonial and could even be late 1600s.
I don't think the smaller one is colonial but it does look a little different as you said.
