Hello All,

VP here, haven't been able to post in a while, been super busy here. Today I got out for about 2 hours to an old farm field I've hunted many times in the past, managed to find a copper. I first thought it was a button but found no evidence at all of a shank. It's super thin and of course has no detail at all :( but is shown next to a Draped Bust Copper I found a week or two ago ... Maybe a counterfeit ?

The medal was kinda of cool - it says "National Guard Encampment Mt Gretna 1897".

Anyway I also posted some stuff from my last couple hunts as well.

thanks for looking !

Nice finds VP,The smaller coin could be a half cent ??

Nice finds VP.

I hope everything is going well with Treasure Valley. Since last time I tried it I've picked up a new laptop so I will have to try it out again. My last computer was too old and slow.

Hey Kevin, I was wondering how you guys are doing. It looks like you found a Copper or 2. Cool. Nice Barber Quarter also. You are always good at finding the deep coppers.

hey chris - thanks

i heard you guys are onto quite a little site there ! very nice - congrats to all of you on the great finds

not sure if you heard or not but we got permission to hunt that beautiful old colonial home (1786) on the island - we searched the yard for two days and didn't find a thing !!!!!!!! very frustrating - someone hit it hard years ago - at least they left the fields - we found a few nice ones in there

i got the copper today at one of my old sites i've been hitting for years - never hunted out i guess

take care man,

kevin

Kevin,

If it is thin, it may be a counterfeit copper or a button. I found a counterfeit back in August that was as thin as a button, but I am reasonably sure it is a poor quality counterfiet KG copper. On the other hand, I have found quite a few large buttons with no remaining sign of a shank.

Look's lie you ran the Gammett V.......Awesome Find's and one Beaut of a Pic',Good to hear from ya....Big Congrat's

Hello Kevin,
