I know this is an older thread but I have a lady that needs some help with her son getting started.
I gave her this info, and she will call the club.
But,what would be a good first time detector for this area.Simple to learn, and be able to find the usual items, coins, relics, gold maybe.
Price does not really matter as there is ebay and craigslist.Unless new is low enough.

HELLO, I'm Randall and I just moved to town. I just found this site and I'm looking forward to meeting new people and metal detecting. I've been rock hounding and metal detecting for a few years and enjoy being outdoors.
