I thought that I would treat the TNet community to a little contest. Let's see which one of you will win the coveted "Professor Guesser" award, and take home the prize money, which consists of a '48 quarter and a '36 dime.

All you have to do is guess the number of wheat cents in the picture, without going over, and you get the silver!

Contest ends: Friday 7/22 at noon.

Best of luck to all of you and thanks for playing!

Update: We Have A Winner:

First off, the clad dime was an accident, I am old and that one slipped by me. Second off, it was not a trick question, all cents were wheats.

I would first like to recognize the closest losers: Bladerunner2019, Top, TommyB and NSDQ were just a little high. Ordinarily, this is a good thing, but not this time!

157 was the coin total (including the clad dime).

1afox was the closest, without going over at 149.

Thanks for playing and best of luck on your hunts!

I didn't do well the last contest you had. Hopefully I get a little closer this time.

I'll say 165

Thanks for the contest!

Congrats to 1afox! I am used to being close without winning. There is a reason my nickname at the poker table is Bubble Boy. :laughing7:

How's the contest over, it's not noon yet! Oh crap, I forgot Carolina is in the eastern time zone. I guess that's what I get for waiting until the last moment to submit a guess. Thanks for having the contest though, they are always fun!
