I found this at at a Continental Army encampment.
Solid. Cast. Heavy.

Appears in too good of shape to be old pewter.

Has a backmark that looks like maybe " PRH " over " L M ".

I'm guessing modern button. Maybe a reenacter's button from the 20th century?

Anyone recognize the back mark?

Thanks!

Thanks. I'm surprised even the quality pewter could survive.
I reached out to Don.
I'll let you know if / what he responds.
Thanks!

Update: The B & H backmark is from a British Hession reenactors group from around 1970.
Now we know.
